I bet you'll love her :)
Saw her in concert eons ago when she opened for Andrew Bird. She was super rad live!

thanks I'll give it a try!

Start with Actor! I think it's her most accessible and catchy... and honestly, I like it better than the other two haha. It's her middle one! Some of the songs on the new one are good though... Fabio Costa made me give some of it a try and I really like the "Cruel" song.
But Actor is the place to start! I think you might REALLY like her, Nic!

I was thinking of (finally) giving St Vincent a listen, but I have no idea where to start. Anyone?

Ugh thank you, David! I'll try the ones you mentioned!

When It's All Over We Still Have To Clear Up is my favourite - nice and subtle and is great romantic sad-sack before they went overboard with it.
Final Straw was their best moment as a "big" band - it's a lot more punchy and reach the skies style if that's your kind of style.
Songs For Polarbears is also worth a listen since it's so different from the rest of their stuff - a lot of it is really pisstakey and just plain weird.
I'm not really a fan of their other albums. Snow Patrol get a lot of **** and I can see why but those three albums ^ tend to be under appreciated.

A place to ask if you're thinking of trying a new band or just discovered one.
I'll start... how do you guys feel about Snow Patrol? I'm listening to them some tonight because I liked a couple songs. Have specific suggestions for an album to start with?
