First up is a review of El Pintor, published yesterday in my local rag. Likely the only halfway interesting thing I have read in that shitty newspaper for years... only saw it because mum found it for me! :D
The author interviewed Paul at Splendour in the Grass back in July, and the reason I am posting this is because Antics' tenth anniversary is mentioned; a topic I am keen to hear news about, so if anyone hears anything more then please share in the News thread.

From The Advertiser, 11 September 2014:
after mentioning TOTBL's 10-year anniv. re-release: Banks says a 10-year celebration of 2004's Antics is "a conversation the band is yet to have" but "can see happening".

Will post a photo or scan of the whole thing soon.

Just in case you didn't see Interpol post this on FB:

Be sure to watch the interview with Sam and Dan; is it just me or does Sam have fresh ink? I've seen old photos of him with that half sleeve, but in this vid it looks like it's been more recently touched up, maybe a cover-up job perhaps?

No I'm pretty sure Sam has fresh ink, I noticed it too when the first interviews starting to appear!

I'm pleasantly surprised about how open and direct they're being about Carlos leaving the band. It was no small thing: him not being there anymore totally changed the dynamic and directly led to how the songs on El Pintor were written. They're being really gracious about it - Sam admitted he and Carlos weren't good friends but he had nothing but respect for his musical skills. That's classy.

yes! Sam seems to be the more bitter one of the group about his departure and the couple of years that preceded it but he keeps it classy as you say.

If you haven't clapped eyes on this one yet, you'll want to. Especially if you dig Sammy, and even more so if you dig funny articles.  :-*
